Brow Tint, Dye & Henna

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BROW TINT, DYE & HENNA?

BROW TINT:

  • Barely stains the skin, especially if using a light colour
  • Lasts for up to 3-5 days on the skin and 3-4 weeks on the brow hairs
  • Good for first timers who don't want super dark, stained brows
  • 5-10 minute processing time
  • Can be done with a brow lamination

BROW DYE:

  • Evenly stains the skin with good saturation
  • Lasts for up to 7 days on the skin and 6 weeks on the brow hairs
  • 10-15 minute processing time
  • Good for those who want a step up from brow tint
  • Can be done with a brow lamination

BROW HENNA:

  • Evenly stains the skin with good saturation
  • Lasts for up to 14 days on the skin and 6 weeks on the brow hairs
  • Good for those considering getting their brows tattooed - looks similar to ombre tattoo style, and lasts much longer then tint/dye
  • 20-25 minute processing time
  • CANNOT be done with a brow lamination

Brow waxing/shaping can be done with all. Be sure to book your tint/dye/henna with a wax if you would like a full brow clean-up.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR BROW TINT/DYE/HENNA APPOINTMENT:

  • Shower and wash your hair (if need be) as we recommend avoiding getting your brows wet for 12-24 hours to allow the colour to fully develop
  • Remove any makeup and avoid skincare on brow area before coming to your appointment
  • Avoid active ingredients such as AHA's, BHA's, glycolic acid, etc. in skin care for 7 days prior, this will allow for even saturation and staining
  • Make sure you have selected the right service as each one requires a different amount of time to be put aside
  • Manage your expectations of what the outcome will look like. This means if you have patchy, sparse brows or oily skin, the tint/dye/henna will not stain as well and will fade quicker than someone who has fuller brows and a normal skin type. This is not to say they won't still look fabulous though!

BROW TINT/DYE/HENNA AFTERCARE:

  • We recommend avoiding getting your brows wet for 12-24 hours to allow the colour to fully develop. This includes showering, steam, saunas and excessive perspiration
  • Avoid using oily skincare products on brows, as this will make them fade quicker
  • Avoid rubbing, picking or pulling your brows
  • Wait 6 weeks before getting brow henna done again, as it can be quite drying. There is no wait time in between tint/ dye appointments though as these are not at all damaging or drying to the brow hairs
  • Avoid skin care products with active ingredients in them, on and around brow area as this will cause premature fading
